I honestly believe that anything I have ever listened to in the past has influenced my style and my songwriting. I still find new bands and artists that influence me. I guess my best option is to start listing and come back from time to time to add to the list. Here goes...Indigo Girls, Dave Matthews Band, Janis Joplin, The Counting Crows, Ani Difranco, Led Zeppelin, Sarah Mclaughlin, James Taylor, Bob Marley, Live, Cat Stevens, Erykah Badu, Tracy Chapman, The Recipe, Guster, The Doors, Death Cab For Cutie, Jason Mraz, The Doobie Brothers, The Grateful Dead, Aretha Franklin, Otis Reading, Bonnie Rait, Melissa Etheridge, O.A.R., Keane, Tori Amos. I'll come back when I think of more.
The southern New Jersey native began her musical career in the late '90s and quickly built up a strong word-of-mouth following by playing college campus venues in West Virginia and Philadelphia. Since moving to Atlanta in 2002, Andrea has amassed a sizable following through performances at such well-known Atlanta venues as Eddie's Attic, Smith's Olde Bar and Red Light Café.
Andrea cites the Indigo Girls, Dave Matthews Band and Janis Joplin among her strongest musical influences. In 2007, the combination of her dynamic personality and distinct writing style was captured in her first full-length studio album, Until Now. The album shows an increasing diversity and some of her strongest songs to date, including Atlanta favorite "Drink from the Cup."
Since the release of her album she has toured the east coast performing in most notable places like The Living Room in NYC, The French Quarter in New Orleans, and several outdoor festivals for audiences of over 5000 people! Andrea has made a move back up north to Philadelphia to get back to her roots and is beginning to work on her second album which her fans are anxiously awaiting.
