The band André & the J-Tones consists of six members: André Bisson, Dan Rodrigues, Mike Rowell, Anthony Giles, Jackie Chalmers, and Loretta Hale.
Everyone in the band brings there own unique twist to the bands sound allowing the band to have a great following. Andre’s vocals have the power of Wilson Pickett as well as the gentle sound of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke. Dan’s guitar playing has the great funk stylings of James Brown mixed with the dirty blues of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Mike's bass lines are influenced by motown’s great James Jamerson. Jackie's saxophone playing delivers the immense talent of James Brown's Saxophonist Maceo Parker. Loretta hits you with the bright “in your face" sound of Blues Brothers Allen Rubin, and Anthony has the rock solid rhythm of Roger Hawkins and David Garibaldi.
This combination of skilled players allows the band to have tight horn lines as well as a heavy groove in the rhythm section making anyone in the room sit up and listen.

a far as band 'Blues Farm' goes .. the drummer is a friend, don't know the other guys.. Larry is a Fine drummer.. their cover of Joe Cockers 'Feelin' Alright' is pretty good , very good.. bluesy/funky/soulful (that's 1 that is on there player ) different with that lead harmonica thing happening... but Very Good. my opinion.
they sound Much better live than what's uploaded on here..that was the first time i had heard them play ..
hello Andre & The J-Tones here's the thing.. went to a street event at train depot this evening.. ran into a buddy/friend.. he plays sax & sings / a little guitar.. my husband played in a band with him for years.. he was running sound for everyone tonight.. anyhow i said hey you gotta hear this cd i picked up.. walked home , took it to him.. he loves that stuff! now it's his & i gotta go hit cd baby for another one ;) 'Andre Bisson - A R&B Experience'
oh, one of the local bands that played included a drummer friend of ours.. were quite good! blues/hippie/Americana band.. first song on my current playlist is them.. 'Blues Farm'..great harp player.. this should have been messeged huh? kind of long ..
