    Andrea Orsini (1984) is among the most interesting Italian rock guitarists of recent years, and is the author of two albums, ‘Catharsis: Story of a Life’ and ‘Closer to Home’, this last including contributions from internationally famed guitarists such as Frank Gambale, Alessandro Benvenuti and Andrea Braido, Vasco Rossi’s well known guitarist ("Fronte del Palco Live" etc.). The mastering of ‘Closer to Home’ was carried out at Marcussen studios in Los Angeles, famous for having worked with artists including Korn, Alice in Chains, the Foo Fighters and Him. The album stands out for a melodic beauty which springs from an innovative approach to combining various musical genres (fusion, blues, rock, heavy metal, acoustic, percussion). Among the most powerful tracks are ‘My Father’s Memories’ (3), ‘Closer to Home’ (6), ‘First Born’ (10), and ‘The Violence of Truth’ (13, acoustic version). ’Closer to Home’ will be released in September 2009, and can be purchased from www.guitar9.com.
