Toolbox..!Vancouver-born country singer/songwriter, Andrea Pearson, made her way to Nashville to continue on a musical journey that began at the tender age of nine when she braved the stage of a local, televised talent show and won first place. This pivotal moment set Pearson on a course from which she has never strayed. Throughout the remainder of her childhood and teenage years, she performed on television (including the Canadian Country Music Awards, Sherrie Lewis’ “Lambchops Play Along” and major telethons such as “Timmy’s Telethon”), played a host of major festivals (including the Washington State Fair and the Merritt Music Festival), and opened for country legends such as Brooks & Dunn, Vince Gill and Tanya Tucker. While developing as an artist in Canada, Pearson studied voice for several years and was named British Columbia Junior Country Vocalist Of The Year. Upon her arrival to Nashville five years ago, Pearson was inspired to pick up a guitar and to begin honing her songwriting skills. .... Since then, she has enjoyed many opportunities to co-write with seasoned songwriters including Jann Arden, Marv Green, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Jim Johnson, Brian Maher, Jim McCormick, Vince Melamed, Billy Montana, Liz Rose, and Bryan White. Her writing endeavors have resulted in holds for Celine Dion, Reba McEntire, Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Lee Ann Womack, as well as a cut on Jypsi’s upcoming album (Arista Nashville) with the song “Are We There Yet” co-written with McCormick and McDermott. Pearson’s ability to deliver heartfelt lyrics and expressive melodies with a warm, dynamic vocal style captured the attention of renowned producer, Garth Fundis, whose work with country greats including Alabama, Sugarland, Don Williams and Trisha Yearwood, is widely acclaimed. Pearson joins this all-star roster as she is currently recording her debut album with Fundis. .... When she’s not writing and singing, Pearson is most likely hiking, drawing, volunteering at the Humane Society or spending time with family and close friends. -
