I was born on 9th July 1978. I was introduced to rock music at the early age of 5 by my elder brother: Deep Purple, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, etc… At the age of 14 I started playing the guitar in the Jailbreak band until I was invited to join the Apeiron band two years later. The need of a bass player led me to learn this instrument. And that moment I started to love it. During that period I cooperated with singer Benedetta Spiga, playing on her song “Domani”, placed second in the “Festival di Viterbo”. Apeiron band split up in 1997, then I started to work with Mordenia, a band from Civita Castellana, in quality of composer and arranger of bass lines until 2002.
Between 2002 and 2006 I worked on personal stuffs with some cooperation, but a big change in my life happens in December 2005, when I attended a Jam Session with Ian Paice, legendary Deep Purple drummer. After spending years to study by myself, also 10 hours a day, in 2005 I decided to go deep with private lessons. It also allowed me to taste better Jaco Pastorius and Weather Report, my biggest step in musical knowledge. In 2007 I started to cooperate with guitar player Emanuele Pallozzi (with whom I work on the composition of personal stuffs) and with singer Giovanna Boccio, playing on her version of “The power of love” by Frankie goes to Hollywood, showed at the “Festival del Lago” in Bolsena.Other bassplayer that i like and influence me are:Paolo Costa,Pippo Matino,Roger Glover,Dave Larue and many more. My favourite instrument is Fender Jazz Bass with Markbass amps.
