Bio
www.facebook.com/andreayoungsongs

Andrea Young has been sharing her gift of song since beginning classical violin at the age of two. Even though she was raised for a symphonic career, she loved the freedom of improvisational violin. With that and a passion for singing and songwriting, she's found her true home in Nashville. The small town Alton, Illinois girl got her start by "accidentally" joining a country cover band as a teenager. Soon after, she was playing with original artists throughout the midwest and Texas. After she was discovered at an artist showcase, she began working as a solo act with acclaimed producer D. Scott Miller (Bo Bice, Craig Morgan, actor John Corbett etc.). Her recordings feature her as a triple-threat; singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. She has toured and played on sessions thoughout the U.S and Europe that span from progressive rock... to spanish pop...to country...and almost everything in between. In 2008, she went out Tim McGraw's "Live Your Voice Tour" with opening act Halfway to Hazard, and played with Sixwire on Season 1 of CMT's hit "Can You Duet." She has played shows with some of today's most exciting acts, including; "One Tree Hill" actress Jana Kramer, American Idol's Bo Bice, rock and roll guitar slinger Kenny Olson (of Kid Rock), Jerrod Niemann, Lady Antebellum, and George McCorkle (of the Marshall Tucker Band). After spending 3 years in artist projects with American Idol semi-finalists, Andrea was ready to spread her wings and focus on her solo career. She will be hitting the studio and road in 2012. She continues to write with some of Nashville's hit-makers, perform on sessions and tours out of Nashville, and teach violin across the country. Look for her performance at the 2011 Breeders' Cup World Championship opening ceremonies in front of 60,000 fans and millions of television viewers. Regardless of the music Andrea is making, she is a one of a kind artist. Her sound is truly unique, her work ethic inspiring, and her talents immeasurable. She has been blessed to learn from some of the very best. This beautiful young lady is destined to leave her mark on country music. -
