André's Bio:
André Boudreau was born in Montréal, Canada, to parents from Wedgeport, a small fishing town on Nova Scotia’s southern shore. He is proud of his Acadian heritage and is always happy to relate the story of his ancestors to anyone interested. His father’s occupation in the computer industry brought the family to the United States and eventually to Okalahoma City where André attended school. He is currently a resident of Pangburn, AR.
André possesses the heart and passion of a true artist. His creative talents are evident not only in his original graphic designs but also in his clever, addictive tunes. He first learned to play piano “by ear”, then discovered the convenience and portability of playing the guitar. He has a playing style all his own – there are no idols or inspirations here, just an intense personal desire to create music. He also later mastered drums and bass guitar.
“Bedroom singer” is a good description of André’s early musical career. He kept his music to himself and because the writing came so effortlessly, he did not realize that he had a special talent. He is still humble about his music – he considers it a gift.
André has won past awards from the “Songwriters of Oklahoma” and Billboard Magazine songwriting competitions. Although André enjoys performing as well as writing his own music, he is always happy to share his songs with other musicians and vocalists when the opportunity arises. Folk and Country dominate André’s current répertoire, however he has been known to pull a rock song out of his creative hat from time to time.
The following video features the song I wrote called "What's Wrong With Me" performed by internationally acclaimed Texas artist, Todd Fritsch. The recording was produced by Doug Deforest, who is also the bass guitar player on the recording. The video was produced and directed by Robby Springfield of Power 3 Productions, who also played electric and steel guitar on this song's recording. The video features guest appearances by baseball star, Roger Clemens, and country star, Eddy Raven, as well as a quick cameo of me. The song has climbed charts nationwide and broke into the R&R charts. Great job, Todd! ...and thanks for picking up the song!
I found the following video online posted by Paul et Sylvie of Todd Fritsch and Stampede performing "What's Wrong With Me" live in Arbresle, France, September 22, 2007.
Hi Andre' I didn't get the message from you over here on my space. It went away when I clicked on it. I am Sorry. Well, it is like 3:40am over here where I am. I am up again. I know it isn't something waking me up, as I sleep with these purple foam ear plugs, so noises will Not disturb me. My computer crashed the other day. It was very upsetting to me. Who knows what happened. Boo Hoo I wanted to cry. Hope things are alright with you. Write to me again, perhaps on Face Book if you find more time. Your Friend, Susan
