a leading member of the Bizarro movement, writing under the sub-style Brutality Chronic. His writing has been described as horrific, bizarre, smart, funny, and fast-paced, with lush, finely-detailed prose. He is fond of collaborating with artists (both unknown and established) to create macabre illustrations for his books. He has worked with Texas-based artist Silverfish on all of his books to date.
Andre's books include Dead Bitch Army, Jesus Freaks, Necro Sex Machine, and his graphic novel Hollow-Eyed Mary. His list, Top 10 Horrific Scenes in Non-horror Films appears in the Book of Lists: Horror. He has written the introduction for Travis Adkins' After Twilight: Walking with the Dead, and has contributed to such collections and anthologies as The Bizarro Starter Kit, Undead, and Undead: Flesh Feast.
In addition to writing, Andre works as a Personal Trainer and a Kung Fu Instructor. His personal training clients have included such local celebrities as FOX 29's Joyce Evans, Bill Vargas, and Rob Guarino and Q102 DJ Diego in the morning. His martial arts background also includes Boxing, Tae Kwon Do, and Chinese Kempo. Andre still occasionally trains at the Seven Mountains Kung Fu School in Philadelphia where he has been a student for the past 14 years.

The future never looked as beaten up and hung over as this violent world filled with racist teenagers, masked assassins, cannibals, and a telekinetic hitman. A crazed killer is on the loose in what police have dubbed "The Bloody Mary Murders" - their only suspect, an innocent single mother who claims to know the truth behind an undead master and her horde of runaways.

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."

I'm happy to announce that my new album "Songs From The Films Of David Lynch" is out now.
"Truly unsettling and perplexingly brilliant... testament to both the quality of Lynch’s soundtracks and Truax’s talents" - The Skinny
"Truax is paying homage to a kindred spirit with this album. It's the best kind of tribute – affectionate and respectful, but with its own quirks and imaginative leaps and its own distinct identity." -The Scotsman
