The Reacher Series (by Lee Child), everything by William Gibson and Neal Stephenson and the majority of books by Michael Crichton and Robert Ludlum. I also enjoy mystery novels in general as well as travel stories/essays, non-fiction military and espionage books and some "educational" books, when I try to learn something new since college every now and then

Born and raised in the multi-cultural city of San Francisco, to multi-ethnic parents, I have always been multi-faceted. My range of interests go from martial arts and basketball, to poetry and photography to computers and science fiction books to pop culture music and movies. Anyway, I grew up in San Francisco, attending a billingual elementary school, where I studied chinese. As a kid, my parents kept me busy with more activities than one can imagine, playing sports, learning musical instruments, attending different workshops and summer camps, but it kept me out of trouble and got me interested in all sorts of things. This simple life continued thru high school until I left to attend the United States Military Academy.
I suffered a number of setbacks at the Academy, the biggest of which was seizures induced from multiple concussions. From there I bounced around several colleges before finally ending up in Hawaii. By that point I was lost, my seizures were preventing me from pursuing my longtime desired career in law enforcement and the medication I was on had me severly overemotional. But I gained someone special in my life who helped my thru it. Eventually, we grew apart, but are still friends. Now my seizures have stopped and, after an unsuccessful venture in DC attempting to get into federal law enforcement, I have decided to return to San Francisco and plan to get some experience in the reserves and a local police department for a few years before trying to get into Federal law enforcement again.
