I have been travelling around so much, on buses trams and trains, I wrote a song about it. In the end it boils down to the human desire to travel and see different things, like a nomad and the other urge to get to home, to security and settle down. I think my role as a musician and lyricist to make songs that take flight and move the listener to other spaces in their imagination/ emotion, when they're settled or staid. I'm not working on trams and buses this month so I have been home a lot. Interesting enough I'm gigging on the Maldon / Castlemaine Steam Railway this Sunday. Platform 3, its hard to get better than that for an old blues folkie.
