I am a Voice Major at California Institute of the Arts. It's a neat place.
I'm from Boston originally, where I grew up, went to high school, etc. For my first two years in the world of higher ed., I went to Hampshire College in western Massachusetts. Soon I realized music was what I needed to be doing full-time; the decision to make the move to California was one of the best I've ever made.
I primarily sing classical music, but I also have a real interest in Bulgarian folk singing. I am lucky enough to study with Kate Conklin, a leading American interpreter of Bulgarian vocal music, who is my private instructor at CalArts.
The a cappella songs I have posted were created by numerous overdubs of my voice.
