Andrew Hoover's Bio
Hailing from Fairfield, Connecticut, singer/songwriter/guitarist Andrew Hoover brings to the table a pot full of home cooked acoustic soul, R&B, blues, and sprinkled with some tasty flamenco and pop sprinkles (the colored kind). Though Andrew is a solo musician, his unique percussive/slap guitar style carries inspirations from the bass and percussion instruments forcing you to strap on your dancing shoes and hit the floor. His vocals are raw and original, colorful and dynamic. They are energetically soul inspired and his lyrics are poetic and insightful. Andrew takes his cues from a variety of his heroes including but not limited to Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Marc Broussard, Ray LaMontagne, Raul Midon, James Morrison and Martin Sexton. With that said, his wide range of influences is evident in his unique and varied repertoire and endearing performances. Andrew has released two solo-acoustic EPs since July 2007 and is scheduled to release his debut album complete with a full band in early 2009. This Fall Andrew signed with Rock Ridge Music (Sister Hazel, Reel Big Fish, Pat McGee, Ernie Halter). Throughout his career Andrew has shared the stage with Sister Hazel, Elliott Yamin, Tim Reynolds, Dave Barnes (Razor & Tie Records), Ryan Montbleau Band, Dirtie Blonde (Jive Records), Ernie Halter (Rock Ridge Music), Ari Hest, the Alternate Routes (Vanguard Records) and Kate Voegele (Myspace Records).

You put on a really good show last sat. in Charlotte I know I came to just see Joey but I am really glad we stayed, because the show was really good.
I think you should do some more shows down this way lets say Johnson city, TN or even Knoxville. You can always get Joey and Tony to come with so this time we can get the full show we wanted to see. I just also wanted to say sorry for the outside thing and not knowing who you guys where.
Neither would I! I've been a HUGE Hogie fan for 2 years and after the other night, I'm an AHoover fan now as well ;) You guys would put on a KILLER show. He's gonna be at The Canal Club here in RVA in July, you should JUST HAPPEN to be there. I'll save you a spot at our special table :-)
