Andrew James Ferris is an independent artist based out of Denver, Colorado. His music is characterized by colorful acoustic melody accompanied by passionate lyrics and an honest transparency. Described as "a refreshing new voice" by Geoff Twigg, former editor of Guitarist Magazine, Andrew's songs do not attempt to fit into a single defined style. "Music is more than a soundtrack to our lives," Andrew says. "Music is a creative reflection of our experiences and the thoughts, moods, and emotions that accompany us every day. Life is not rational, and neither is music. It's not about messing with peoples' feelings, it's about understanding your own feelings and the role that they play in making life special."
Andrew has recorded and released four independent albums in the last three years. "Early One Cold Morning" was released in 2004 and contains some of his first originals as well as a number of favorite cover songs from that time. "Reflections" (2006) also contains several more original songs but is colored with covers that were influential to Andrew's creative journey during that time. "Cellar Chapter" was recorded in the Fall of 2006 by Andrew and his brother Zachary. It is an acoustic collection of their own songs and the first all-original album that Andrew has produced. While attending the contemporary Music Center on Martha's Vineyard during the Spring of 2007, Andrew recorded an EP album entitled "Nothing at Face Value." Most recent is a full-length acoustic album called "Back-Seat B-Sides" released in October 2007.
The newest project on the horizon is a concept album called "Soclose". The release date for this album is still undecided but the title track is out now. Keep checking back. The longer the album takes, the more tracks will show up here.

Thanks for the email about your song. And thanks for the update on "My Apology." Thanks for playing it, and I'm glad they liked it. Hey, school starts soon, huh? Well, God bless you this semester with much grace and strength. And have fun! See ya. : )
You know. The one about the couple and the trapeeze..."you know that i'd follow you down, down, down...." something, something... "don't let go." Sob, sob, heartwrenching...then at the end..."it's ok. let go." More uncontrollable sobbing. Remember? I obviously got the title wrong. But you definitely have a song where the hook is "Don't Let Go."
