Andrew Keeling is a singer/songwriter/musician from the north of England. Nowadays he spends much of his time composing classical music (www.andrewkeelingukf.net) but during the 1970's he wrote mainly acoustic songs some, of which, appear on his album First Things (available on MVS from July 2009) alongside some new ones such as Fragile, co-written with Judy Dyble, formerly of Fairport Convention and Trader Horne. The music on this page includes mainly demos and outtakes from the MVS sessions recorded by Ken Nicol (Steeleye Span).
'Everything has the mark of genius. There is a great deal of air and transparency about your work which is so rare.' - Rik Kemp (Steeleye Span)
'The CD I find very pleasant to have on in the background when I am relaxing in a deep pine bath.' - Peter Sinfield (former King Crimson, ELP)
'First Things...is a lovely set of songs and pieces. I love the flute playing, it's gorgeous.' - Judy Dyble (former Fairport Convention, Trader Horne)
'The range of sound textures is lovely, and I liked the mysterious, smoky quality that is established right from the first track. Minako has the makings of a very popular song and Fragile is lovely. I particularly warmed to Short Story because of the bold, up-front quality of the voice.' - Alison Prince (author)
Andrew, many thanks for your comment. It means a lot to me. And it's true that creativity is both the result of my feelings and the healing as well. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine soon (as always). I hope you're well. I haven't looked at your site for quite some time, but I like the new look :) All the best Jan
