Bio
I love 2 extremely HOT things: wings and my wife Jody of 13 years. I'm all about my extremely depraved wonderful children, Dawson, Gabe, Max, Quincy, Zeke, and Kora … for a grand total of 5 boys and 1 Cinderella (pretty sure she will never date). I live in the Great Pacific Northwest and have a 72 VW Bus and really long to have a Burmese Mountain dog named "Ozzie". I am a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan and I hate the Yankees. I really dig Jesus and HE also hates the Yankees. I think Barney is the real reason dinosaurs went extinct and I have no idea why Diet Lemon Coke tastes like Pledge. I play 3 different acoustics depending on my mood and venue. A "Rainsong Jumbo" which I modified to have a 3 pick-up blended system (this guitar is so fat it's on both sides of the family). A custom "Dana Bourgeois" dreadnaught that tells it's own story and a "Limited Edition Larrivee" with a weathered "Meyer" finish that would make Willie Nelson blush. I use polyweb medium Elixirs, I have all world tuners on every guitar. I use lots of alternate tunings, and cut capos. I play with a percussive nature and get lost in the divine moments the music brings me. I am strongly influenced by the writing style of David Wilcox, the laid back groove of Jack Johnson, the simplicity of CASH, the musicality of Dave Matthews and the over all vibe of Bill Mallonee. I have had the privilege of playing and sharing the stage with many national acts (you'll have to ask) but feel most at home in smaller more intimate venues with my fellow sojourners, my guitar, a story, and my favorite, most excellent piano player/comrade/sidekick, Mr. Matt Podschweit. I deeply fall into a few life changing causes that I encourage you to check out and consider. water4christmas.com, servehaiti.org, hopechest.org, charitywater.org, familiesforafrica.org, theadventureproject.org (my wife's) I'm a lowercase singer-songwriter trying to pen the missing chapters of my fallen narrative. Music is my compass, it teaches me about who I am, it guides me in who I long to be, and it leads me into providential moments that dare to see the world with fearless hope. We are all just broken Hallelujahs trying to navigate our way through the joy, the pain, the laughter and the tears. Hope to see you soon at a show near you. ~ nothing but LOVE,andrew .. "Andrew Landers makes it look easy – The best singer-songwriter in the Midwest region. His music is medicine for the soul" Ellis Kell–Legendary Blues Man/ Director of the River Music Experience .. .. "Andrew is the real deal – soulful, unpretentious storyteller who tells it from the heart. His music is as profound as it is entertaining." Max Allen Collins "author of Road to Perdition" .. .. "Andrew Landers writes lyrics that make me professionally jealous. He paints compelling word pictures and stories that can't help but draw you in. His new CD , Beautiful Depravity has been playing in my car for two straight weeks now and is unlikely to leave for a while." David Burke – Quad City Times .. .. "His ambivalence and openness are magnetic. His songs are grounded in rock-solid faith, but they're drawn to weakness, shadow, frailty, and nuance." JEFF IGNATIUS - River City Reader .. .. "Andrew Landers is not at all that hard to figure out. He's just a neo-hippy poet musing on theology and sociology from a post modern perspective. He simply finds the sacred in the ordinary, the humor in the serious, and the tranquil in the noise that surrounds us all. Listen at your own peril." Ed Rowell – Author/Lead Pastor of Tri-Lakes Church in Colorado Springs CO... -

Sounds Like
a melody birthed out of depravity crammed into 3 minutes of introspective theology and finding it's way home through redemptive possibilities.
