The talented singer/songwriter's new album Diesel, Torch and Bullets, and band, Midnight Hunting Crew came together when his bass playing mate Alan Brooker commented how much he loved the country-styled songs in the set – many of them numbers which had also won plaudits from reviewers. And so a special country collection from McSweeney's five albums to date was born, and christened with a brand-new title track, 'Midnight Hunting Crew' – which just had to be the name of McSweeney's new band as well.
