Andrew's incredibly original music captures the sounds of many bands, the names of which are not able to be listed here for copyright reasons. But the influences on his music are not directly portrayed in his songs, as one of his favourite bands is VOID (a local Perth band) who are probably one of the best bands Perth will ever produce, but by listening to Andrew's music you would not be able to tell this, which is part of the reason why his music is so enjoyable.
Sounds Like
Obviously since Andrew's music is entirely original it cannot sound like anyone, otherwise it would not be original music. But quite honestly his music does not sound like any other music you would have heard of, which is why his music is so interesting.
Born in Singapore in October 1987, Andrew Ng has become a child prodigy in writing useless, meaningless and pointless songs. "Love Song For Sweetie" is an example of his expert songwriting ability; spending all of 3 hours writing and recording the popular tune. Although he may not be the most gifted sportsperson the world has seen he is highly skilled in drums, both electric and acoustic guitars, bass, saxophone, and having recently picking up keyboard - Andrew is fully equipped to start his own one-man show. His current aim is to get connected to a record label of some kind rather than his current label "Sweetie".
Andrew currently resides in Perth, Western Australia, which has produced some fantastic local bands and musicians in the past. He is studying a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Western Australia and is now in his 2nd year. Upon graduation he will have to serve National Service in Singapore as part of his honorary duty to his home nation, and after which he will try to develop both his musical and business life hopefully back here in Perth.
