"A true singer/songwriter"- Bryan Potvin of The Northern Pikes, adjudicator at the 2007 Songs Revealed Contest at Durham College.
Andrew Shedden is a singer/songwriter based out of Peterborough, Ontario. Serving as a sideman since 2006 in a number of different bands including Brock Stonefish & the Battle River Blues Band, Shedden grew as a guitar player and a performer. Even when sitting in as a sideman, Shedden’s charisma and stage presence is undeniable. The Andrew Shedden Band has grown from Shedden’s desire to play his own original material. Debuting at Dionysus, an annual Trent University music festival, the Andrew Shedden Band quickly garnered a reputation as an exciting and dynamic live act.
A six month long residency at a local blues and jazz bar galvanized the Andrew Shedden Band’s live act into a tight and exciting show. Described as “Eclectic Blues/Roots music” The Andrew Shedden Band plays primarily original material which according to a local paper “...combines the energy and excitement of early rock and roll with passion for the blues and a folk songwriter’s attention to the lyric”. An Andrew Shedden Band live show is energetic and passionate, steeped with innovative original music with the roots showing.
With the flexibility to tailor their set to fit a wide variety in crowd or venue, the Andrew Shedden Band brings a great, crowd-pleasing show. 2008 was an excellent year for this group and 2009 looks to be even better! Book us in and we’ll put on a show your audience will not soon forget!
Thanks for taking the time to read the bio!

Hey Shedden good to hear from you. I played my last show with Liquid Larry last Friday. I'll be around the Dorbos and Piggy open Mics for the next bit though. Hope to see you oot and aboot.
Hey Shedden, great playing with you and the band last night. Thanks again to Nic for letting me use his drum kit. I think I will however bring my own for the Red Dog show. We'll see if we could arrange for a quick setup and tear down of the kits. I'm stoked for the 15th. later!
