   About Andrew Thomas
Hi! I'm Andrew and I'm a bass player and a writer based in Los Angles, California.

My first book, GARAGE TO GIGS: A Musician's Guide was released last year by publisher Billboard Books. GARAGE TO GIGS is a how-to guide for musicians aspiring to form or join bands and then take them to the stage. Click on the front cover art image below to get to the Amazon.com order page.

My second album, Resonance & Resistance, is here! Expect audio on site in the coming days. Resonance & Resistance can be purchased on iTunes as well as Amazon by clicking on the album cover art.

Resonance & Resistance is my basscentric follow up to Then... and Today (see below). Resonance is a collection of nine original compositions and one cover song, "Maybe I'm Amazed," which is performed with just bass, drums, and percussion. Resonance features vocal performances by myspace friends Julie Zielinski, Toddy, and my That Vibe bandmate Erica Canales. It also features instrumental performances by myspace friends percussionist Chris Heuer, keyboardist Paul McDonald, trumpeter Eric Richardson, pianist Jason Achilles Mezillis, and the incomparably talented Evan Rodaniche, whose band, Cage9 is the greatest thing since humbucking pickups.

My debut album, Then... and Today was released in 2006. If you have the volume turned up on your computer, you're listening to some of the Then... and Today tracks right now.

You can purchase my music on this page via Snocap, on iTunes (iTunes.com), or by clicking on the album cover art image above, which will take you to Amazon.com to purchase downloads.

I play frequently in SoCal, jamming at clubs, private parties, and weddings. Typically, I play with a 10-piece special event band called That Vibe . You can check us out here.

I also occasionally play with Toddy, a talented singer/songwriter whose myspace you can check out via the image below (and that's me in the background of the photo!)

36 Alterations

A lot of people found the idea of Incubus, Deftones, Rage Against the Machine, 311, and Tool having an orgy bazaar; until they heard what resulted: 36 Alterations. Check out our singles "Step Out” and “Something Real." We'd love to hear what YOU think :)

Andrew,
BASS ON!
I love guitar chords and have always
appreciated the fact that it's the
BASS notes that root the chord and
tell my fingers where to go on the neck.
Without BASS NOTES I'm lost.

Alright, so I'll be your friend. It's the least I could do considering I took my instinct back and bought an iPhone.
And to that I say, good luck trying to call me at home - because I get NO SERVICE!
