FOOOOD. I'm a major foodie and a decent cook :)

HIP HOP!

Dancing ~ Popping / Locking, even though I could be so much better. So don't ask me to dance LoL I gotta bust out on my own. Or get me drunk. Or blast some good music. Then I can has UNSTOPPABLE FORCES!!!2!1

Wait, did I mention Hip Hop? --

.One Love ~ the Four Elements.

In case you didn't know what those are --

.Breakdancing

.Graffiti

.Turntablism

.MC'ing.

THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE CRAPPY RADIO RAP OR CRUNK. That shit is NOT hip hop. So no, I DO NOT want to listen to Nelly, Lil Wayne, or any of that bullshit. Seriously. Not interested. Get it away from me, it's terrible!

Reading. I L.O.V.E. books. Laugh at me and all my nerdtasticness all you want, bibliophobes, but I just can't live without them. They are also the greatest Love of my life, fighting for honors against hip hop. It's an uneasy truce, I must have both and I literally could never choose. They're jealous of each other.

ANNE BOLEYN. No other figure in history gets me like her.

Travel. Particularily, San Francisco. I'm absolutely in love.

Music. I sing (and / or dance) everywhere I go and my life would be a shadow of what it actually has been if the soundtrack was missing.

"Raves." But not really. It used to be a big part of me, and for that reason it gets listed.

Kung fu.

HOUSE MUSIC.

Orchids.

Science Fiction. Well, science - period. Go science!

Greek Mythology.

Renaissance History.

Well, history just in general. I love it. I used to think it was sooooo boring when I was younger but now I can't get enough. I want to know how the world works and how the hell it got this way.

(While we're on that subject, has anyone else noticed how things you thought terrifyingly boring as a child can suddenly sneak up on you as awesome once grown? I feel this way not only about history, but now also documentaries, world events, the weather, and argyle socks.)

Animals.

Japanese Culture. Absolutely anything about it. I am in love with Japan. Something about it strikes a chord in my soul that I can neither explain nor ignore. I'm going, and you can't stop me.

Anime.

Aeon Flux.

Ninjas -- who are infinitely better than pirates!

Dreams. But not to the extent where I think they are crazy subliminal messages from another world or the key to success or whatever New Age BS Borders sale-rack pop psychology gets peddled to the hypersuperstitious masses. I just like them because mine are always horribly fucked up and vivid! :)

   ♠ Cat's Blurbs
About me:

Myspace profiles often sound trite and pretentious, so this is all you get. A Generic survey, that is.

~~~~~
TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF - The Survey
Name:Carolyn but a lot of people call me Cat.
Birthday:Early August.
Birthplace:WA.
Current Location:Bellingham, WA
Eye Color:Blue, grey, or green. OoooOo they change color!
They're actually a dark blue ring surrounding a grey field with orange spots, but who's being specific? *looks around*
Hair Color:Dark brown.
Height:I have shrunken from a victorious 5'6" (fuck you, trebek), to a diminutive 5'5". :(
Right Handed or Left Handed:Very, very dominantly Right-handed, but at my last job I had a lot of time so I learned how to write a little with my left. It was awesome, you should have been there.
Your Heritage:A whole ton of irish and swedish, with pinches of german and english with a dash of italian. I'm a cracker-ass euromutt! Haha :D There are so many cracker-ass euromutts with similar genetic composition, it's nuts...we obviously multiply too much.
The Shoes You Wore Today:Unbelievably painful (but so cute) little black flats.
Your Weakness:Oh man. Where do I start?
I fall ass over teakettle for men I can't really have. I'm writing a terribly heartbreaking story about it now except that it's science fiction so no one will know it's secretly about ME!! *Rubs hands together maniacally* MY EVOLL THOTS SHALL REMAIN FOREVER ELUSIVE! SUCCESS!
I also fall in love with inanimate objects. Melancholy, idyllic, and unrequited, all. Pointless and painful.
Animals. I love them and adore them and instantly go retarded for them. They are funny and perfect and I want like 80 some day.
I have the tendency to martyr myself out.
I hurt and injure myself -- A LOT. It's impressive, really. I've got stories for days.
Some social situations, ACK! I totally clam up. I have mild social anxiety.
Manipulation. I'm the easiest person to manipulate, and it really sucks sometimes. I'm an incurable sucker for a sob story, pity play, guilt trip, or what appear to be the emotional needs of others even when they aren't real. It gets old.
I'm an over-empathetic bleeding heart pansy.
I also tend to have a periodically-emerging wicked attitude problem to overcompensate for being that way.
The soulfully-colored eyes / dark hair combo. Sigh.
Nerds. Always nerds.
Weather -- Sun, rain, wind, thunderstorms, I love it all!
Anything outside, really.
Procrastination like whoa.
Blowing off my responsibilities to go frolic.
I think too much. It never shuts the fuck up.
Ninjas?
I'm an over-analytical pain in the ass.
I feel things too deeply.
Your Fears:*cracks knuckles*
Heights. spiders (though that one is getting better), airplanes used to be huge but that just suddenly disappeared, ummmm physical pain and injury, horrible accidents that I will have no control over, diseases, driving behind people on the freeway that have something in tow (boats, logs, pipes, yard equipment, furniture, canoes, bikes, whatever) because I am ABSOLUTELY convinced that it's going to fly through my windshield and decapitate me! o.O Sociopaths, dying a helpless and panic-inducing death (drowning, burning alive), *EEK!* THE DARK! Including deep space *shiver* Which is strange because I love it too.
Your Perfect Pizza:Olives and green bell peppers. Or a Greek.
Goal You Would Like To Achieve This Year:I haven't even started my LAST New Year's resolutions, so what's the point!
Your Most Overused Phrase On an instant messenger:Haha; LOL. I use both religiously though. Probably because I'm always smiling and laughing at...well, everything...and have an irrepressible urge to convey that to others :)
Thoughts First Waking Up:OH SHIT! What time is it?!
Your Best Physical Feature:My eyes. My feet are pretty cute too though.
Your Bedtime:Whenever something isn't keeping me up.
Your Most Missed Memory:Summers on the water, the old family dog Sneak, and my brother Ted.
Pepsi or Coke:Coke. Pepsi kind of sucks.
Have you Been in Love:Fuck yes I have and it sucks. I have met a lot of people and done a lot of dating, but loved just a few. And it ruins me.
Number of things in my Past I Regret:Hmmmmm. I'll answer another day.
Your Personality Is Idealist
You are a passionate, caring, and unique person.
You are good at expressing yourself and sharing your ideals.
You are the most compassionate of all types and connect with others easily.
Your heart tends to rule you. You can't make decisions without considering feelings.
You seek out other empathetic people to befriend.
Truth and authenticity matters in your friendships.
In love, you give everything you have to relationships. You fall in love easily.
At work, you crave personal expression and meaning in your career.
With others, you communicate well. You can spend all night talking with someone.
As far as your looks go, you've likely taken the time to develop your own personal style.
Who I'd like to meet:
Armand Van Helden - oh wait, already did once! *dies* It was almost perfect. I let him know he changed my life and even got a hug out of it, without gushing or being an idiot. Definitely a first for yours truly (not embarrassing myself, that is). But then my dipshit friends at the time went and made a scene and got all over him and freaked out even though they had no idea who he was, so I had to walk away. Aw.
Stephen Hawking. How humbling would it be to meet the smartest person alive?!
Brian Greene and Timothy Ferris, since we're on the subject of nerds. But especially Brian Greene <3 Helllooooooo hot nerd.
Lupe Fiasco and Common, both I love - MMM they have that Chicago soul...
A-trak. He's adorable and super talented. Honestly I'd settle just for seeing him play again. That is close enough.
Angelina Jolie, Natalie Portman, Milla Jovovich, or Ziyi Zhang. They are all exquisite, amazing women who kick serious ass.
Jake Gyllenhaal. Despite youngster swooning I've realized he actually is a really talented actor.
John Stewart. I love that guy! I used to have a wicked crush on him because of his big, smart, funny nerdo brain but thankfully I've outgrown it, lol...
Steve Carrell. I miss stephen vs. Steven *snickers* shit was priceless.
Facebook is just another way for Murdoch and his evil cronies to track me down and make me pay tribute to News Corp!  Plus, I can't imagine keeping track of another site... with the same stuff... which I hardly use anyway.
Sigh.  I'm just not cut out for this internet life.
I absolutely suck at carving pumpkins. I have trouble even making the one swith the triangle eyes and stuff. You know what? We should find a really good pumpkin carver, and then give them drawings of MMA fighters to carve. Then we enter the pics and split the prize money. YES YES YES! If we are really epic we could take first and second, maybe even all 3.
