The Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra is a soundscape of its own.
20 young musicians with different musical and cultural backgrounds (Germany, Canada, South Korea, France, Switzerland, Norway, Japan, Thailand and Czech Republic) united in an unconventional ensemble and developed over the years into a deep-bonded cluster of friends. They travel around the world and play for audiences at reknown festivals and clubs (Jazzfest Berlin, Paradiso Amsterdam, Kampnagel Hamburg) as well as in Korean concert-halls and Bavarian provincial one-horse towns.
Stylistically open-minded, structurally complex and pure fun on stage, the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra has not only attracted audiences world-wide but also famous artists like The Notwist. They approached the Orchestra to help them to enrich their new album and live-concerts with the Andromeda-Sound.
The Repertoire is written by Daniel Glatzel, who is regarded as “one of the most interesting and individual composers in the Jazz-Scene” (Jazzzeitung). He leads the ensemble and conceives his pieces for his fellow musicians. Each member of the group is a unique character and an important part of the band – musically and personally.
This creates an energy which is accesible for all kinds of listeners and carries them into the Galaxy of the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra.
