Andy Eppler is an artist from West Texas who, using the canvas of American Folk music, makes waves in the desert. The debut album "There is No Underground" was a quick success as people who were tiered of the same old mindless pop discovered a new voice. The second release was a spoken word album called "Dark Places" which showcases the poetry and short story writing of this hurricane force creativity. Fans never know what might be coming down the pipe from this unpredictable but always meaning driven artist.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you my ideas. I've longed to open a studio for a while now. I don't think this will actually be happening anytime in the near future, but I do have a lot of equipment that I'm sitting on doing nothing with right now. So, I had an idea of making a mobile studio. Now, I can't make album quality recordings in these environments. So, I figure my niche to fill right now is having a Mobile Demo Station. Basically, I hope to offer an affordable and convenient recording services in an effort to promote local music. Being as I don't have the space I need to record, I figure I'll market to bands that do. I'll go to them and record them at their place. This saves them from the trouble of packing their gear up over and over to come to me. Also, this allows out of town musicians to stay put and for a small fee (basically, my gas) I'll go to them. My hope is to start a small business that will fund my efforts of opening a full blown recording studios. While growing my own business, I hope to promote local bands in ways no one has before. I hope to make my services cheap enough for everyone to afford. If every local band can afford my services, then all bands will have materials to promote themselves, thus making them better, hopefully in the process of making me better.
We hope to start within the next few months. We are in the process of putting our finishing touches on our business side and equipment to go mobile (cases, etc).
When we do start, we hope to open with a contest. Our contest will consist of 10 hand picked bands from the Midland/Odessa and surrounding West Texas area. All 10 bands will get one demo song recorded apiece. We will then post them all online to be judged by the local music fans. The winner will get a free 6 song demo. We hope this will show our dedication to local music and show our quality work, all in an effort to get our name out there so when we kick it off, we'll already be kickin ass and taki
I was difficult in school. I had this social studies teacher who was always on my ass, and one day he was teaching us about last names, and their origin. Like if your name was Baker, your ancestors likely baked bread; Shomaker, they were cobblers, etc.
So I raised my hand, and asked "Would you care to tell us the origin of your name Mr DICKINSON?" He was pissed. He said "Why don't you march your ass down to principal Glasscock's office and talk to him!"
Remember in elementary school at PE. It was so embasrassing to wear sweatpants and get a boner. Especially if you were the PE coach.....in an all boys school.
Hey, hope all is well is well. Many blessings to you and yours. We just cut a new video, it's from a live proformance from a show we did on nativzine. Hope you dig it.
