Andy Hall plays and sings with excitement, passion, precision and a dynamic that is quickly establishing him as one of the top players in acoustic music today. Based in Nashville, TN, he plays resophonic guitar (dobro), guitar and sings lead, tenor and baritone vocal harmony parts.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA with a degree in Music Production and Engineering, Andy's credentials include a long list of live performances and recordings with various artists. He has recently been featured on projects by Dolly Parton, Ronnie Bowman, Charlie Daniels, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Moody Bluegrass, Dale Ann Bradley, Matt Flinner and others.
Andy is currently a member of the new acoustic band The Infamous Stringdusters, and is touring extensivley wth the group. Andy is also promoting the release of his first solo recording entitled "Red Wing". This debut release features some of Andy's original bluegrass and new acoustic music, a song by Boston writer Geoff Bartley, and the classic "Redwing".
Instrumentally, look to Andy for driving instrumental breaks, tasteful instrumental backup, and sensitivity to the groove. Vocally, Andy will provide a blend that will enhance the harmony structure of the artist and song with equal finesse.

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
