My interest in comics, music and movie culture has inspired my work.
Some of the paintings include collage, which creates a subtle fanzine (from the punk era) style, with ripped up old magazine features and photographs underneath the paintings. This has become a unique style of my own, which makes me different and not a copy of other artists.
My paintings are detailed and accurate, and often brightly coloured, taking inspiration from Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns and Litchenstein, among others.
The collage pictures take some research into finding the appropriate articles and pictures to give the finished artwork particular meaning. In between painting and other aspects of my life I spend time reading and researching artists, music and movies which also inspires me and gives me new ideas. Now and then I manage to read a comic
