hey there Andy, I relly like the emotion in your songs and sound, well done, I've seen the video Kate shot at Dunmoochin last Saturday, it's pretty good,we'll keep in touch , cheers, Tony
(con't) tax money back then i could piss about a little longer. worst comes to anything i just get more money on my credit card and pay it off as usual. i am looking forward to my axis mundis hatstand and some regular working hours- aside from my regular sleeping hours. you know how it is- the independence of financial stability and a debt free conscience in the face of a non negotiable lifestyle that in order to afford one must sell out...
however- i am looking at early february as my return- that's if i don't decide to leg home for christmas. i hate the prospect of new years and january in australia though, so feel free to float me any suggestions. i would consider Woodford if i was back in Oz, but really- january is a cunt to me, and i want to hit the ground working.
the following need to be considered- a job. a home. in that order.
that's pretty much it, everything else can follow. you keen to find a place still? or you happy in your little box? let me know so that i don't have the false assumption of a flatmate, and can over the next couple months start to look at jobs and homes. i'd be happy to start chewing the fat with you though- we've not lived or travelled as commonly dreamt, and i've not the stomach nor patience for large cheap households- i just want the dramaless bliss of my ignorance back.
well mate. speaking of dramaless, i must go and recline someplace and drink fruits and read books (Lord of the Flies, The Male Multiple Orgasm, Deer Shifter). hope all is well, and without the drama that you love to be hurt by.
just checking my pulse via your validation machine.
i'm still in Pai,
and as sober as ever.
the 30th was a gas. spent most of the day by the swimming pool, had dinner with Jay and two other buddies, then recommenced drinking and got smashing drunk. the next day obviously resumed drinking in the swimming pool and continued to kill cell brains. then the Halloween finale, which culminated in 2 litres of whiskey (good stuff too) and Ben Sparrow tearing a ligament in my foot....
oh yeah, got a tattoo earlier in the day.
it's a warm fuzzy blur of a 30th memory, wish you were here. we've also decided to get on the wagon for a while- and i've not broken the 3 drink mark on any night since Halloween. i am sporting a walking stick anyway, and drinking is not conducive to walking sticks... let alone walking.
meanwhile Skye is missing in action- went to Bangkok 3 weeks ago and hasn't been seen or heard from since.
some of the crew are still here, and Jay is currently getting the world tattooed on his back...
an italian local and i are doing a visa run to Burma in 5 days in his truck, which should be fucking great fun- means we can bypass Chiang Mai. i will get another night in in Chiang Mai- and try and see Mango, but i'm a very lazy fucker of late as you may have noticed...
the plan is completely non-existent right now. my sister should be having a baby today, and though i would like to go home for christmas, it would be the 3rd time i have gone home when it was not of my true volition... if the daggy old handbag bitch we fondly know as the Queen would give me my tax
gotta be quick cos i'm so fucking hungry i could eat the arse out of a low flying leg of lamb. i am alive as it happens. just got out of the bowels of hell- a most beautiful place to go and destroy every vestibule of one's dignity and desire to live a healthy life... i was again knocking on that most lucid of doors called the Horrors, aka the Dread, aka the Fever, aka the Self.
am back in Pai after 26 hours on 3 buses- what a cunt. didn't fly back in cos i was drunk or ill when i should have been booking flights, so i only have 15 days here instead of the 30 for flying, so don't know what the score is yet. might or might not se Mango, but will see Skye soonly. probably head to Cambodia again cos Laos was a bit much for me- me getting old an all. Thailand is nicer place. still aiming for a Burmese Xmas, then either fly home from Bangkok, or across to Vietnam to get some threads (depends on what little cash is left in the kitty), and then home. either way BURMA, and Sydney or Melbourneo by late Jan early Feb. i need a job i suppose, and i'll be looking for someplace to live i guess- so think about what we talked about.
righto mate- i'll get off your classifieds page billboard load of shit, and go get some noodles and beer. you should consider Macebook- it is a bit more childish than myspace, and myspace is just for advertising our own unwanted art anyway. you should come get your existence validated by 8% of all the fucking strangers that you have as friends in brackets on Macebook. it's what the new generation live for.
my darling, lovely, wonderful andy jans brown. thank you for that message. i thought of you just a few days ago when i returned home. i wished i had, what we have, close by; a friend that melts into your being and make you feel all warm, loved and safe. i miss you so much, but you know how one can get so used to grief that they dont even notice the constant ache. well, that's pretty much how i live these days. interspersed with moments of genuine joy and all the rest. cold come to melbs for a few days, maybe when simmie swings into town, but my schedule is pretty tight til feb. love you always. lisa
