Hey, Twitpic Of The Year winner!  Not too shabby, eh?  Congratulations!!
  • Dec 16 2009 4:11 AM

Sounds like Dakota Lounge treated us patrons better than you musicians.  Sorry about that.  I thought the sound was pretty good in that place though.  Would be interested in hearing your opinion.

Great meeting GRO.  They are such nice guys.  Hope they will play here again soon.

Take care.  See you on the 26th.  Please ask Tulsa for good weather for me.  I'm such a So. California wimp when it comes to being cold.

Wanted: One status update.  Must be authored by Andy Skib.  Wit and/or wisdom a plus, but not required. May be completed at author's convenience.

    Yeah...that's all I got...

Thanks for the add, Andy.  Hoping you are getting the chance to do some stuff you want to do.  You've worked your tail off for the past 10 months, and it was amazing!  You have quite the future ahead of you.  :)  PS:  great taste in music- Switchfoot rocks!

One day someone special will be gone.
And on that clear, cold morning,
in the warmth of your bedroom,
    you might be struck with
the pain of learning that sometimes
    there isn't any more.
    No more hugs,
no more lucky moments to celebrate together,
no more phone calls just to chat,
    No more "just one minute."
Sometimes, what we care about the most goes away.
never to return before we can say good-bye,
    Say "I Love You."
So while we have it . . it's best we love it
And care for it and fix it when it's broken
and take good care of it when it's sick.
This is true for marriage .... and friendships ...
    And children with bad report cards;
    And dogs with bad hips;
    And aging parents and grandparents.
We keep them because they are worth it,
    Because we cherish them!
    Some things we keep --
like a best friend who moved away or a classmate we grew up with.
There are just some things that make us happy, No matter what.
    Life is important,
and so are the people we know.
    And so, we keep them.
I received this from someone today
who thought I was a 'KEEPER"!
Then I sent It to the people I Think of in the same way!
Now it's your turn to send this to all those people
    who Are "keepers

    1) You looked good on the Underwood special. All dark sexy rocker-like. You were the only one who could really be seen. Was that the plan? ;)

    2) Sounds like y'all could use some love today--and not the creepy stalkerish kind--so here it is! (((Andy)))

Ahem, I saw you on the Carrie Underwood special just now!  You could try to hide Andy but the camera got good glimpses of you.  You looked and sounded good so there!  Congrats on making it on a Xmas Special!  I just had to post again on your wall for the zillioneth time!  I wish they would have put you in the front but we still saw you.

    Come see us this weekend!

  • Dec 7 2009 2:38 AM

Sorry Andy, I had to share this.  I went to a Three Day's Grace Concert yesterday and it was alot of fun!  I got to meet the band and everything.  I know this may sound cliche but I couldn't help but wish it was you guys that were playing here and that it was you I got to meet.  Don't get me wrong, meeting any band is a luxury and I am so honored to have met them as they are my fav band.  I guess I just see how you all interact with the fans and it really has touched my heart.  NOW, all I can think about is getting a ticket to Tulsa to see you all at the Flytrap or wherever you play.  I am so disappointed that I never got to see you all perform this year that it makes me so sad.  I really hope that if the chance comes again, that I will have the money and can take it right away.  Thank you all for meaning so much to me as I really do think you are one of the most amazing bands out there, whether it be David and The Anthemic, THH or MWK.  I love you all so much! (SORRY FOR THE LONG WINDED COMMENT)

    !!!!!!!!
  • Dec 6 2009 7:06 PM

I don't do too much with myspace anymore, but I figured I would drop by your page and show some love while I was on. Hope all is going well. Take care.

I don't think I have ever recommended a song to a musician before but this one by Canadian singer Nathan Rogers made me think of you. Perhaps arrangement-wise, or the intricate picking he does -- just something there that said Skib. I hope that you will listen to his song about Hibbing, Minnesota.  Just the line "There are two ways out of Hibbing...on the Greyhound or down the mine" grabs you and doesn't let go. It is grand stuff. Thanks, Andy.

MWK rehearsals??  A year ago I had no idea who MWK was. A year later it is all I listen to.
    Be still my heart.

Hope you enjoy your time off with family and friends! Have a great Holiday.

    Andy....

We miss you already!  All I can ask is leave us tweets once in awhile, even if it is a picture of Jenny, Amos or you eating a sandwich.  You truly have kept us curious and wanting to know what is going on with you...  I haven't seen you in concert and this is my reaction.  I imagine that everybody else who has seen you in concert is feeling the same way.
