A friend told me that my music was "cabaret-folk"... I've written songs since sixteen, first on piano and later on guitar, influenced by Canadian folk artists, James Taylor, Ani DiFranco, Joni Mitchell, Jane Siberry, and others and then arriving in London, listening to musical theatre and going to every Sondheim musical that was playing. It's an odd musical mish-mash, but I hope you like what you hear.
I'm a singer-songwriter, living in Sydney, originally from Vancouver, Canada.
I've played on open stages and in cabarets, for gay pride events and usually just for friends in my living room.
I've sung in many choirs including the Pink Singers from London (who graciously sang and recorded my song, Big City), the Vancouver Men's Chorus and the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Choir.
I've self-produced a whole bunch of tapes and now three CDs. The songs here are from 3 different CDs going back to 1996. Can you tell that I was just learning to use the 4-track I borrowed on "Why Can't I Be Superman?" Drop me a line if you like what you hear.
