My name is Andy Slatter.I'm a 38 year old musician based in the northwest of England.I started playing guitar and bass 23 years ago, along the way I also became interested in music technology/programing,keyboards,percussion,and various folk instruments.I like to use a combination of real acoustic instruments and various soft synths/instruments in my compositions.I play:guitar, bass, fretless bass, fretless guitar,mandolin,ukelele,djembe,bongos,bohdran,keys,violin(badly...lol!!)and a variety of small percussion.
I love prog rock/metal,as well as orchestral,electronica,dance,d'n'b,folk,world,jazz,fusion,leftfield.....in fact, there aren't many types of music I really dislike.
Some bands/composers who I like listening to are:Rush,Dream theater,ELP,Zep,Lizzy,Opeth,Porcupine tree,Cardiacs,Sex Pistols,Strawbs,Yes,Druid,Aphex,BOC,FSOL,Mozart,Morricone,Prokofiev,Bach,.......the list goes on.
I have recently attained a diploma in media composition after over two years of study and working on real life practical assignments working on briefs for film,tv,corporate video, games, animation, advertising etc.
Have recently had a couple of tracks(from my slatsmeistergeneral profile)placed on the new sci-fi film "The paralyzing agent" produced by Gene and Wendy Greenlees.
I'm very keen to work on more film/tv/game/advertising/corporate projects,so if you like my music and want an original score please get in touch.
I also write music for online music libraries.
Please see my"slatsmeistergeneral"profile for my electronica based music.
It is beautiful, isn't it? I was knocked out when I saw him perform it on LAter. I was equally knocked out whgen Joe Brown as ME tobe a friend on MySpace, quite by coincidence. J x
Hi Andy Just looking at your site. Great that you've had some of your music used in film etc. It's really atmospheric. Always good to get in touch with other local musicians. Good luck with it. (Also I am starting to learn the ukulele!) Helen (of She)
Hehehe, it's 1958...Teens are running wild in the streets...These young toughs need a good talking to...These ne'er do wells need an attitude adjustment...What's wrong with these kids? They've got too much time on their hands and they're "PUNKS ON THE RUN"!!!!!!
Hi Andy! Long time no see my friend! How have you been? I have been doing well and am in the process of starting a fresh new band/project with some friends. It will of course be progressive or "gourmet rock" :) I'm still very much interested in sharing ideas via mp3s....it would be fun collaborating via email!

Been thinking about you and Angela a whole bunch! The sciatica in my leg pretty much kept me in bed for the past two weeks. The pain was awful but it's starting to ease up a bit.
Started working on the 13th chapter of my book today but because of my leg, I can't sit for long periods of time. Hehehe, what's next? A brain tumor? Wouldn't surprise me! The 12th chapter of my book is almost 50 pages long! When all the chapters are written, I think it will probably take me as long to edit it as it did to write it!!
The chemo seems to be helping my dad. He sure looks and sounds a whole lot better than one month ago! Still, I have no illusions about his condition. I just hope the chemo continues to make him feel better.
Other than that, it's the same old same old. Message me back and let me know how W.W. is going and fill me in on the rest of what's going on.
DUDE!!!! im so sorry. i just realized my comment on your christmas song never got through....i was using wireless internet, something probably happened. Its a great song dude. You are a very talented guitarist and singer!
Thank you so much for all those beautiful and heartfelt compliments about my music! Coming from a fellow musician, it really means a lot to me.
Hehehe, well I didn't have 20 martinis on my birthday but I did have 4 Chivas Regal double scotches. Certainly more than enough to dull the pain! Smoked a little weed, listened to some music and watched some movies. All in all, a good time was had by me and I didn't have to suffer through a hangover today. Hehehe, hangovers are highly overated anyway.
As Beethoven and I are sharing a birthday this Sunday, I thougt I'd post a new song. It's called "Saint Louis Louise". It's my homage to the strippers of the 1950's. It's a classic 'bump and grind' song. Hehehe, horny little bloke that Beethoven was, I think he'd approve. Hehehe, that's another thing he and I have in common.
I'm so glad we're friends and so grateful for all the love and support you've sent my way. It make a big difference every day.
On Sunday, I shall drink 20 martinis in yours and Angela's honor. No, No, No, no need to thank me! Hehehe, it will be a pleasure! As for the following day, I might be slightly indisposed due to a coma!!
Thanks for the Crimbo wishes!! Hey, what's wrong with one, or two, or ten martini's? Of course, they are fattening!! Hehehe, maybe you're right! After all, you and I have to keep our girlish figures!!!!
How did you manage to put 6 songs on your player? I'd love to know!
Just listend to "Christmas Time" a couple of times. I love the unplugged version of you!! Please send me the lyrics to the song because I couldn't understand all of them. The harmonies are great though! It put a smile on my face when I heard it!!!! Thanks, I needed that!!!!!
