About me:

Hi, I'm Andy Alverson. I am 39 years old and I own and run a music store, Andy's Music In Southside Alabama.
We sell Ibanez, Crate, Digitech, Dean, B.C. Rich, Michael Kelly, Floyd Rose, Kustom, Behringer, Traben, Samick and many other brands.

Although I run a music store now, I have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems from Herzing College of Business and Technology in Birmingham AL. I spent 3 years with AmSouth Bank in Birmingham, AL helping support their Electronic Banking department and assisting in the rollout of their electronic banking products including Internet Banking and Banking with Microsoft Money.

I left AmSouth Bank and went to work for EDS on the Bellsouth account also in Birmingham AL where I spent a total of 6 years, driving back and forth to work from my home in Southside AL, about 75 to 80 miles each way.

In June of 2005 I decided to leave my system administration job and open my own music store, AndysMusicInSouthside, where I sell Guitars, Drums, Banjos, Mandolins, Amplifiers, Microphones, PA Systems, and most music accessories. We also offer lessons for Acoustic & Electric Guitar, Piano, Drums, Bass Guitar, & Violin.

My wife is Dr. Jennifer Alverson. She graduated from UAB in Birmingham AL and has been practicing Optometry in Southside AL for the last 10 years.

We have 3 children, Bryant (8),Jake (5), and Jerrica (16 months). They are awesome!
