The following was taken from a purchaser's iTunes review of "Making Tracks"
For those who like the sound of a PRS or a Martin played with maturity and feeling, then try ‘Making Tracks' by Andy Tompkins. All the influences are there from McLaughlin through to Carlton. Beck to Fripp, Scofield to Burrell. But in the end to any one who knows his music his style is distinctively his own.
Andy Tompkins was a London session electric and acoustic guitarist in the 1970’s and worked on many film and cartoon scores including the cult movie, “The Wicker Man”, the soundtrack of which was released by Silva Screen Records in 2002. Gary Carpenter and Ian Cutler two other musicians from "The Wicker Man" also have Myspace sites.
He worked in the “pit” for numerous West End productions and toured extensively in Britain and Europe as guitarist for the critically-acclaimed “Red Buddha Theatre” working with many notable musicians such as Stomu Yamashta, Joji Hirota, Peter Brewis and Ric Sanders who, of course, is now with Fairport Convention.
Andy is a musicians’ musician and has lived in East Yorkshire for the last 18 years where he continues to write and record music in his recording studio.
Andy has four albums available on iTunes, "Numbers", "Places", "Making Tracks" and "Reflections":-
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

Thank you, Andy, for your kind words and for being a friend of The Hare and the Moon. The Wicker Man soundtrack is our all time favourite piece of music.
hey everybody guess what, theWUN is up and running at our homepage and waiting for you to join us there, i intend for these forums to remain open and active as long as myspace doesn't bother them, but we've finally got a center of operations which isn't on Myspace, and i say thank God for that. Please tell your friends, as Myspace might just delete us before i get to even tell all of ours, you never know and that's the problem with Myspace WorldUnificationNetwork. ning. com WorldUnificationNetwork. com and WorldUnificationNetwork. org (all go to the same place!)- Join Us!
Yours Truly, dcb (wun creator and webmaster) myspace. com/oscarakachris P.S. Its going to take me almost 2 months (!) to invite all of our friends from myspace to this new place, so i would very much appreciate you taking time to sign up @ WorldUnificationNetwork. org just so its easier to contact you, we're not very much of a network without you! P.S.S. That also means that once i've invited everyone i'm going to assume that if you want to keep updated about what we're doing then you'll join us because it litterally takes forever (well it feels like it) to contact you all the "old fashioned" aka myspace way... P.S. AGAIN this was supposed to be a message and not a comment, but myspace maxed me for the day! (400 is my "quota") stay anonymous in the revolution, sign up @ WorldUnificationNetwork. org with just an email address!
Hi Andy! thank you so much for inviting me into your space. It's an honor to meet you, and be amongst your myspace friends. Very compliments for your pieces and groove!
Sometimes a process takes time to unfold...The flame within...the flame of peAce...must burn ever brighter in our hearts. Those that die brought down by the killing machines, we mourn their loss. Is it necessary that they die this way now?
Poised at the brink of daybreak a ray of light leaps over the horizon to my eyes. It is you. My soul rushes to meet yours and we harmonize in the music of that moment and that moment alone... thanks...
Hiya, liking the music, if you would like me to put one of your songs on my profile u should be able to put the url for a song onto your site to be copied and pasted! Rich
