Andy Tongren, singer, guitarist, actor, composer, and a true Renaissance man for the new millennium has been performing a wide variety of music and developing himself as an artist very strongly over the past few years. From the early days of “Emo,” to the classic stage of the Cleveland Opera, Andy has developed his voice and stage presence into a truly dynamic, unique, and passionate performance. The past few years have found Andy touring with the band Wellington, cutting the albums, “How To Say Silence In A Million Words,” “When Skyscrapers Meet Giants,” and “Please Don’t Make Me Be Good,” as well as performing jazz covers and continuing his love for Musical Theatre and Opera on many stages. Some of the musical influences in Andy’s life have been Count Basie, Sarah Vaughn, Frank Sinatra, J.S. Bach, Johnny Hodges, Giacomo Puccini, Harry Connick Jr, and Duke Ellington. Andy is becoming a true international scholar of music and the performing arts with his studies of Jazz in the heart of London at Middlesex University. Keep an eye and ear out for Andy, as he is an artist you can expect to see on the rise.
