An Early Fall is an American rock quartette from Phoenix, Arizona formed in early 2008 by (Guitar) Jeromy Scott and (Drums) Josh Ebner. The two began engineering the framework for what An Early Fall is today. After a lengthy search to thicken the already powerful rhythm section, (Bass) Evan Nichols was approached and asked to join in mid 2009. (Vocal) Dylan Rowe merited her position after auditioning in early 2010. The textures created by An Early Fall are described by (Producer) Mike Watts as “A darker, creepy Chevelle with a female singer.” The waltzy legato rhythms of Bass and Drums combined with the crunch of rhythm Guitars beneath sweeping minor notes set the stage for musing coarse word play and an eerie lustful Vocal inflection, bringing their music to a deeper pitch of intimacy.
