Music
I simply love music. I love all genre even bluegrass and folk. I am partial to Old School, Rhythm and Blues, Techno-Dance, Jazz and teaditional Gospel. I like positve lyrics, however, there is a time and place for my "ghetto fabulous" music as well.
Movies
I love Betty Davis, both versions of Imitation of Life, Gone with the Wind, Jason's Lyric, Enemy of the State, Hoodlum, Scent of a Woman, Beaches and many, many others. I love all types of movies.
Television
I love all shows about law and order. As a matter of fact Law and Order is my favorite show. I also love CSI, The Closer and Law and Order CI and SVU, re-runs of Matlock, Columbo and other detective type stuff.
Books
My favorite authors are Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, Alice Walker, James Patterson, Toni Morrison, and Langston Hughes. Right now I am feeling The Secret, The Power of Intention, The Husband, Cross, Love, Between Lovers, The Redlight Wives and The Holy Bible. I am open to all forms of knowledge because I am a seeker.
Heroes
Many people and experiences have helped to shaped my life. I admire Dick Gregory, Malcom X and his wife Betty Shabazz, my second grade teacher Mrs. Berry, my great grandmother, Jewel E. Toles (may God bless your spirit) and countless others who suffered so that I might have opportunities otherwise unavailable.
