The name for the band Angee exists from summer 2005, but we had a different name in the beginning. Our first show was actually under name Swallown Down in november 2002. The cast is: drums (Matjaz), bass (Tilen), guitar (Stash), keyboard (Mitja), vocal (Anja). We have now been playing for quite some time, in several places. First we played only the covers of the world's most known bands (U2, Blink182, Foo Fighters, Greenday, Nirvana,...). In the beginning, we were influenced mostly by Blink182, Offspring (that's where the punkrock roots are from), and that didn't change, but lately we like very much Franz Ferdinand, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys... british stuff.l.
In the beginning, when we had to sit down and decide, what are we gonna play, well that was a huge problem. We just wanted to play songs that we all liked...And look up to idols that we liked..But there was many of them, and that's why our music is very heterogeneous. And that's why we can't tell what's our style. But hey, fuck that, we like it the way it is, and things can change.
Now we mostly play our own music, with some exceptions. We are very proud of the songs we wrote on our own, they are really something special. We'd kinda like to bring on something new - music that makes you feel many things that you don't feel in ordinary everyday. You decide what will that be:) For us, it's almost like a new world..
But our philosophy is, if you have something to give to people around you, give it. And when it comes down to music, it's not hard to give. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
