OMG I was so upset! I got there, but then my ride sort of bailed on me because of the distance and how late it would be driving back. If I didn't leave then, I wouldn't have had a way back. They said I could try to switch times with someone so I wouldn't have to drive back so late, but no one could switch with me :( It was a real bummer because I REALLY wanted to hear you play since I love your music. How did the show go?
Hi Angela ; Listened to all of your songs and they are great! The recording is intimate and makes one feel like you are sitting in the same room at a small gathering, great stuff!
glad to hear it! all is well minus the end-of-the-semester-freak-out stress. I see you have some new songs up, I'm very busy now but I'll be sure to check them out within the next few weeks.
oh did you now? well, if that is the case, then i'm glad you liked them!
And Thanks for putting me on your top. :)
I look upon your music/writing with extreme favor. I can't really put my finger on it... it just kind clicked. Golden glow, for example. There is something deeply beautiful, truthful, and sublime about that melody and those lyrics. Anyway, that's why I put you on my top! good stuff.
Well thanks! The mogwai influence can be heard reeeally easily on some of my older stuff, that isn't up on this site. It's almost shameful at times. I have an archive of all my old/transitional stuff that I wouldn't put on a CD. It's here: soundclick. com/apellation. Click on the link that lets you see all the songs. Listen to "A Wolf to the Moon" and "In Wonder" (and whatever else your heart desires) and you'll see what I'm talking about.
It is awesome that you listen to Mogwai. They're one of my favorite bands, and very few people at my school in Nashville have heard of them.
And I'm currently working on a CD, (35 min out of 80 completed) but progress slows down during the school year, so it may be a year or more until I'm done.
Please keep writing and singing, and when you get the chance, buy and set up a home/pc recording getup. Getting out there is hard but you have that sound that I would want to listen to again and again, so never quit my sister!
