Just released by MMG/EMI Music Canada, 'Is Your Life as it Should Be' is Angela's 3rd album. Available now by digital download at your favourite e-tailer, each song was written to represent the lives and lifestyles of everyday folks. Recorded 'live off the floor' by engineer, Eric Reed, who also co-produced the project.
A past nominee at the WCMA's (West Coast Music Award) for Outstanding Roots Album for her latest record 'Roots', Harris has also garnered 2 CANCON charting singles and 10 BCCMA nominations since the release of her self-titled debut record in the year 2000. A seasoned songwriter and performer, Angela has her own style, and sound.
"...Angela Harris is blessed with a strong and honest voice and a way of stringing words into compelling personal vignettes that illuminate the corners of an interesting life. Melodies are strong...her performance makes this one of the year's standout roots albums."...Greg Quill, Toronto Star, Canada (3.5 stars out of 4)
"Her voice is smooth and thick as molasses...Harris uses music as a venue for broader ideas than jingoistic politics, unrequited love and the sanctity of being a good ol boy. Roots is a beautiful-sounding album, with simple arrangements and production."...Shereen Tuomi, Calgary News and Entertainment Weekly, FFW Weekly, Canada
"Harris is more involved in her project than country artists usually are... For making intelligent, homegrown country that hasn't been soiled by pop over-production, Harris deserves attention."...Bruce Leperre, Winnipeg Free Press, Canada
Angela Harris updates the beauty and timelessness of traditional music in her new release "Roots". Co-produced with great sensitivity and skill by Eric Reed, Angela's original compositions touch on family, friends, and the importance of our personal connections in everyday life....in songs that do so with grace, memorable melodies, and passion. Her voice is as honeyed as the soft breezes in her native British Columbia in the spring, and the musical arrangements are uncluttered yet eloquent."Tom May, Producer - "River City Folk", WFMT Radio Network, USA

Great seeing you the other night, Angela. I wish you could have seen the look on your face when you realized it was me. LOL! I had a blast, and I hope we can get together again next year when I come back out there. I'll be writing to the club tomorrow, and telling them what a great time I had, too. Hopefully they will make your show a regular happening.
