Hey everyone my name is Angela Martinez and I am originally from California. I moved to Nashville, TN to pursue my dream as a country artist. I love to sing and write songs!!! My favorite colors are purple and pink( I know I am a girly girl) and I love anything that has anything to do with love. (I am a hopeless romantic) I have an adorable doggy named Elvis (and YES he does think he is the KING!!!) LOL :-) I am so lucky because I have so many people in my life who love me and believe in me.
As far as music goes I have been in it a very long time. I love it!! “Music is my Life.” It was what I was born to do. I started my own record label and publishing company at the age of 15 and I toured all over the world by the time I was 22. I love the music business too I just don't get consumed in the drama of it all. (And believe me there is a lot of drama that you can get involved in if you try.) I live for the music. I love the stories, the emotion, and the melody that can take you far away from the grind of every day life. As an artist, I just love the feeling that I get when the audience and I share the experience of a song together. There is no better feeling in the world.
I have recently taken on a huge challenge but I believe with your help all of us are up to the task. I want everyone that is on myspace to tell someone that they know about Scleroderma (the information is underneath this) and my new song called “RIGHT THERE.” I am trying to bring awareness to a disease that many people don't know about and hopefully help them get enough money through donations to find a cure. I know that we can all make a difference in the lives of others. We just have to look for the answer cause it will be RIGHT THERE.

Scleroderma
I am sure that you are reading this and thinking what is that word and what does it mean?
Scleroderma is a chronic, mostly progressive autoimmune disease that causes the body's immune system to attack it's own tissues.
The reason why I am telling you about this is that my new song “Right There” is written about people that are living with this illness.
I was inspired to write this song after spending time with a wonderful and dear friend to me. As I have gotten to know her and become close friends I have gone on this scary and difficult journey with her. Some days are good and some days are unbearable. Getting up and doing every day things can be a struggle and other days things aren't so bad. Each day brings a new question. Along the way I have met more amazing people that are living everyday with this disease and they inspire me. They have shared with me their incredible stories of courage, determination, and have also expressed their struggles of pain and fear. Nothing in life is guaranteed and it has so many twists and turns that we would never expect. But I have learned that it is the attitude that we have in life that will make our days good or bad.
In meeting people with this disease I could feel their passion and their hunger for hope and an answer. I knew right then that I had to speak for them and others that are going through pain like this, and the best way that I knew how was in a song.
Please listen to “Right There” and tell others about it. Together we can make a difference!!!!
