Singing, songwriting, performing, dancing and studying business entertainment are just some of the many ways Angela Mukul (pronounced: McCool) is preparing for a career in entertainment.
Angela is a 20 yr. old singer/songwriter form Orange County, CA who is currently working on a new EP to showcase her newest writings in an intimate, acoustic demo.
Born into a musical family, she began singing & dancing at age 3. The majority of her upbringing was with her then-single mom which has molded Angela’s character from a young age into a strong-willed female.
Angela grew up performing in musicals, choirs & dance groups. At age 14, she learned guitar, wrote her first song and began performing in local coffee shops. She continued to perform solo as well as with a band at venues such as Chain Reaction Anaheim & the Derby in Hollywood. Now, Angela is striving to take her songwriting to new levels while performing as a solo, acoustic act once more.
Angela has a demo available on iTunes which includes songs written at age 16 as well as songs written by Jason Freese, keyboardist of Green Day. Freese has been Angela’s musical mentor since age 16 after meeting during Angela’s performance at a local restaurant. Since then, Angela has sung on demos for Jewel and recorded background vocals for Death By Stereo and Zebrahead.
Angela’s song: “You Don’t Know Me” was selected for Beat Marketing’s November 08 Hear It Here Café CD and gained her a finalist position in the UK Songwriting Competition. She has also held an on-air interview with OCRockRadio.
Angela draws inspiration from everyday life including experiences of her own as well as those of others. She strives to deliver an encouraging message relating to all.
From an early age, Angela’s musical tastes ranged from Sheryl Crow to Bob Marley to the Beatles and she further continues to immerse herself in music of all genres. Presently, Angela is studying the classical guitar to further expand her guitar background.
In all, Angela Mukul is always in the pursuit of her hearts true passion: Music.
