A banda de crossover Angel Butcher foi formada em meados dos anos 80 na cidade de Araguari–MG. Em sua primeira fase (1986-1990) lançaram 4 fitas demo (uma dessas com participação de Wagner Lamounier do Sarcófago), tocaram com nomes da então emergente cena underground brasileira como Vodu, Genocídio, PxUxSx, Megatrash, Cirrhosis entre outros, até que no início dos anos 90 deram o grupo por encerrado.
Em 2003, ou seja, 13 anos após o término da banda, o baterista e fundador Manu “Joker” (U-Ganga, ex-Sarcófago, ex-Nuts) e o guitarrista Maurício “Desecrator” (Krofader, ex-John No Arms, ex–Nuts, ex-Cuspindo Marimbondo, que também tocou no AxBx nos anos 80) retomam a banda contando com uma força do amigo Édson “Lunaris” (Loucomotive) no baixo. Inicialmente a proposta era se divertir tocando somente material antigo e alguns covers, porém a velha química foi reacendida e surgiram músicas novas.
O “show da volta” foi em Fevereiro de 2004 na cidade de Uberaba ao lado da banda Deadly Side e no ano seguinte repetiram a dose na mesma cidade abrindo o show das bandas hardcore Calibre 12 e Lobotomia já com a formação definitiva, completada por Kim “Beermosh” (ex-John No Arms, ex-Cuspindo Marimbondo no baixo e vocal) e Wesley “Paulista” (Olorum, ex-Seu Juvenal, ex-Sonoridade Agressiva na segunda guitarra).
Paralelo ao trabalho que vem desenvolvendo em suas outras bandas, os músicos do AxBx lançaram a nova demo chamada The Angels Are Back (Independente/2006).
Produzida pela própria banda e por Líbio (Olorum, Nada A Lembrar, DCV) no “Guzerá Estúdio”, a nova demo traz uma regravação da faixa “das antigas” "Final Breath" e três sons da nova fase ("Chair Mosh", "The Angels Are Back" e "Control") mostrando que os anjos do cerrado ainda tem muita lenha pra queimar com seu metal-core/crossover com letras ácidas e bem humoradas.

AxBx's first lineup (1986-1990) released 4 demo tapes (one with Wagner Lamounier of Sarcófago fame as a special guest), played with bands from the brazilian underground scene like Vodu, Genocídio, PxUxSx, Megatrash, Cirrhosis and others, then in the beginning of the 90's the band decided to call it quits.
In 2003, 13 years after the disband, drummer and founder Manu “Joker” (U-Ganga, ex-Sarcófago, ex-Nuts) and guitarist Maurício “Desecrator” (Krofader, ex-John No Arms, ex–Nuts, ex-Cuspindo Marimbondo, who also played with AxBx in the 80's) decided to reunion with the help of their friend Édson “Lunaris” (Loucomotive) on the bass. Basically, the propose was having fun playing old songs and some covers, but the old chemistry was flamed and new songs were made.
The “reunion show” was in February 2004 in Uberaba/MG with the band Deadly Side and after one year they played on the same city opening for hardcore bands like Calibre 12 e Lobotomia with their final lineage with Kim “Beermosh” (ex-John No Arms, ex-Cuspindo Marimbondo as bass/vocals) and Wesley “Paulista” (Olorum, ex-Seu Juvenal, ex-Sonoridade Agressiva on the second guitar).
Besides working and playing with their own side-projects, the members from AxBx released their newest demo entitled The Angels Are Back (Independent/2006).
Produced by Angel Butcher and Líbio (Olorum, Nada A Lembrar, DCV) on “Guzerá Estúdio”, the new demo brings the new version of the old song "Final Breath" and three new songs ("Chair Mosh", "The Angels Are Back" and "Control") proving that the angels still have much stuff to do it with their metal-core/crossover with heavy and well mood lyrics.
