Who is Angel Feliciano?
A New York City native, El Barrio Spanish Harlem is where I call home. The Met's are my team. This neighborhood, its people and the experiences I've had growing up here have shaped me into the man I am today. This community, the music, the food, everything here, are all engrained in my soul. Coquitos for 25 cents and the quarter water's you would open by punching the foil with your knuckles aren't found in most other communities, I guess we didn't realize the small pleasures we had here. The smell of pernil at every corner of the street in June during the puerto rican festivities, and the cherry, coconut, and rainbow flavored limbe's for sale on the 1st floor of every project development. In Spanish Harlem there's such a natural richness of talent. So many talented young artists have come from here. I'm proud to have devoted my life to the arts through Dance, Film, Theater, Photography and Music. I couldn't imagine doing anything else in life. I've been blessed to have experienced many great things and travel the world with my profession. And when my dreams are fully realized, I may need to leave this place that gave me everything I am. With this in mind though, my main goal will be to build my business to even greater heights and return to El Barrio to build an institution of influence that will house the many outlets I've been fortunate enough to encounter in my life, that others haven't. This is my passion and I'm driven...stubborn. Tell me it can't be done, and i'll show you 50 ways it can be. This isn't arrogance, it's just a habit I picked up along the way.
