Im a singer songwriter originally from Puerto Rico
I relocated to Austin T.X. in the summer of 1997.
Together with my twin brother Alberto Ferrer quickly integrated to the rich musical scene in the live music capital of the world forming the popular rock group ILLcamino named one of Austin’s best rock bands in the Austin chronicle music poll.
You can catch me performing live with my project The Daylight Sessions a soulful pop rock collective featuring songs from my latest independent release at many of Austins live music venues.
In addition im currently working with a great friend and Grammy award winning guitar player/songwriter
Chris Perez on what will be a return to my roots with a Rock en Espanol record due out later in 2009.

Well I am sending you all an update on Stevens healing progress. Although, Stevens ankle seems to be healing just fine,(baseball practice last week) unfortunately, things have turned to the worse. Steven woke up feeling ill this morning & did not attend school.
Today has been really hectic for us all. Stevens condition severely decreased as the morning progressed. He was taken to minor emergency earlier this afternoon & diagnosed with Swine Flu. The outbreak here in Austin is EXTREMELY underestimated. This virus hits hard. Steven had a 97.2 temp this morning & was aching all over. He couldn't keep fluids or solids down at all. Within 2 hours, his temperature hit 103.7. The prescription that was needed for Steven was not available any more in Austin or near surrounding areas. Luckily with the fast and accurate timing of the staff at the hospital, we were able to grab the last bottle that turned out to be in Buda, TX. The next nearest location would have been in Taylor, TX (they had only ONE bottle left) which I am sure is now gone.
Steven will not be in school until next Wednesday or be allowed to play baseball, per doctors orders. This ONLY applies IF he is better. I will keep you all updated throughout the weekend on his progress.
In conclusion, I hope that this email is forwarded & read by ALL regarding Stevens condition. I felt that an email MUST be sent out to ALL parents, to educate them on how severe this virus truly is. If any of you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.
