Angelo Venuto was born in Sicily, Italy. He was the 4th child (out of 7) born to Maria and John Venuto. Angelo immigrated to the United States at age 10. As a child, he exhibited a great interest in music. His parents greatly encouraged this interest. By age 9, Angelo taught himself the guitar. Throughout adolescence he focused all his attention on music. Upon mastering the guitar, he proceeded to learn the bass, keyboard, and drums. Angelo shared his enthusiasm for music with his family. By the age of 12, he had formed a band with his brothers. Angelo dedicated himself entirely to music, because he knew that music would be the primary focus of his life. His fierce determination paid off. Within a short time period, Angelo became a well-known artist amongst the Italian-American community. As a young adult, Angelo had the honor of sharing the stage at Carnegie Hall, in New York City, with legendary performers such as: Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin and Tony Bennett. He has also had the privilege of performing with disco diva Gloria Gaynor, and has performed for many other well-known celebrities. Angelo together with his band recorded the album Soccer, whereas he composed all music and lyrics, which hit the top ten on billboard charts. He and his brothers have also performed for many notable politicians, such as for former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, former Senator Alphonse D'Amato, and former Senator Robert DeCarlo. In July of 1983, they were invited to perform for President Reagan following one of his speeches, in Miami, Florida for the International Longshoremen Association. They have performed at many charity events, including the Jerry Lewis telethon at the Ed Sullivan theatre in New York City. He also helped with feed the world foundation for the Italian -American community. He and his brothers have been blessed to be able to perform all over the world, including many U.S. states, the Caribbean, and throughout Europe. In 1990, Angelo and his brothers performed for the Italian cruise line, Costa Cruises. Due to its overwhelming success they have been performing one week annually aboard the cruise line for the past 15 years. Angelo now shares his sentiments for music with his wife Gisella, and their three daughters, Maria Ilena, Concetta, and Alexa. Angelo's unexpected sudden success with the remix of the hit song L'Italiano in collaboration with D.J. Serg, has not altered him. He is still the same down to earth charming man who lives to make everyone happy through his music.
