Chilli Fried, London’s leading global beat session, invites you down to Clerkenwell’s coolest Bedouin basement bar for a preview of Globalhead, the forthcoming long-awaited 5th studio album from the acclaimed duo of Neil Sparkes and Count Dubulah AKA Temple of Sound. Combining beguiling melodies, hypnotic global rhythms, spoken words of wisdom and a bewitching culture-crossing sounds and samples, Globalhead is sure to be one of the hottest releases on the scene for this year. Tonight Neil, Dubulah plus some very special surprise guests will be performing tunes from the album in a unique live set

Tonight’s session is part of East a festival championing the best of East London. Running from 6-11 March, East features a programme of over 400 events across fashion, film, food, art, history and performance will celebrate the vibrancy, diversity and unique spirit of the area. Taking place across three hotspots - Central East (Barbican, Spitalfields, Whitechapel), Hackney and Stratford - EAST invites you to explore new areas and visit new venues. Chilli Fried, London’s unique global music session invites you to celebrate our 3rd birthday with a night of wild and wonderful Arabic sounds!
Live on stage: Algerian superstar Cheb Nacim, playing the hottest, sweetest rai music. Nacim is one of the big names on the scene, known for his soulful voice and melodic song writing skills, he mixes up funky rai and deep North African tradition with touches of flamenco, salsa and rumba. Darbucka’s dancefloor is sure to be packed.
