This is the soundtrack to the mending of your broken heart.
Angels are Architects formed out of a desire to make the music they wanted to hear, music that would help a bleeding heart sleep in peace at night. Memories and heart journeys fell into melodies, creating a collection of lullabies for the broken hearted. Amber brings a smooth vocal with a haunting deliver; Phil brings the lyrics and riffs that fall into his head at night and Mitch brings the spacey back beats
The band hit the scene in 2004 taking out the ACT final of the National Campus Band Competition which set them on a journey playing shows around Australia and the world. Relentless touring have seen the band take the stage at a host of festivals including Black Stump (Sydney NSW) and The Mosaic Festival, Singapore’s premiere music festival. The Band spent Christmas 2008 playing as a highlight in the Celebrate Christmas in Singapore Festival which included playing to a crowd of over 60,000 in the grand finale.
Angels are Architects have also traveled their tunes to Malaysia, Indonesia and most recently Japan playing an Australian artist showcase in Kobe supported by Austrade. They’ve appeared on MTV, played live to radio and in 2008 launched their highly anticipated self titled debut EP to a sell out crowd.
Their style is unique, with members drawing inspiration from all genres and walks of life. Their music has been described as “something you could listen to while your laying back thinking about the world” and has been compared to artists ranging from Lamb to Muse.
Sometimes a song can capture an emotion, I’m sure Angels are Architects will capture you.”
