Every once in a while a truly great recording artist comes along. When this happens we are reminded of the joy and inspiration music can bring into our lives. Because life itself can be filled with darkness and at other times with light, great artists resonate with us and inspire us to see our lives as the rich tapestries of experience that they are.
Angel Short is such an artist.
Her warm, liquid voice delicately weaves tales from all walks of life, daring to unveil weakness and uncertainty, as well as love and hope.
A native Californian who studied abroad, Angel first started singing at the age of 4, and started playing guitar in Germany at the age of 19. Shortly after, her songwriting began.
An accomplished musician and writer on guitar, Angels unique and luminous talent has brought her rave reviews while travelling the country playing music festivals with her band for 3 years. Her former band, sold 10,000 copies of their debut album.
A chilling performer, who shares the gift of insight into ourselves, Angels original music exposes emotions and truths from her darkest to brightest moments.
Refuse Me is an eclectic debut filled with mystery, texture, and conviction, whose height of irony may be in the title itself: one listen and we cannot refuse Angel.

We're both fine. In Berlin working where it is cold, cold, cold.
A new cd... plenty of songs. No time. Soon I hope.
The Incurable... I think we may have secured a week run in NY for April and will try for a little arthouse in LA after that. We'll see what happens, and I hope see you there if so.
The van says hello and wishes it could hear your voice.
Here's wishing you the happiest of Holiday Seasons. May all of your dreams come true. I took this photo a few years ago on a cold winter day in the old part of Bratislava, Slovakia, about an hour's train ride from Vienna.
