ANGER BOYS
The band was founded three years ago; throughout this time it traveled the country from the north to the south. From scattered singles here and there to an unofficial compiled CD, the band has attracted a significant number of fans in the country and abroad. From Qalanswa, a small city on the western coast of palestine, Yahya, Muhammed and Ward have taken over Palestine and the adjacent countries, artisticly speaking. They always had bumps on the way during these three years, but despair never took over them; they always did and do strive to uphold the cause of the 1948 Palestinians and all Palestinians in general. Furthermore, this is not the only issue resonant in their songs; there are presonal and local issues that are addressed in their singles. Their style is is distinct: their art is collective, and it merges hip-hop music with classical arabic music, propagated in a captivating music environment with "stinging" words. Since "Ana Arabi" & "Al-Sufahaa", Anger Boys have also participated in a number of Documentary films. movies and theatrical productions.
Today, ANGER BOYS is one of the well-knows arab rap bands in Palestine, and is still ascending the ladder to the improvement of arab hip-hop and fame. The Band is also working on their first official world-wide CD which will be labeled "The Journey- Al-Mishwar" which will include a handful of songs and tastes and the local and global hot topics.
Their journey, which strives to raise awareness of justice and peace, is still in its beginning.
This beautiful (yes, beautiful) album has been in the making for over a year, us Noble Brats, have worked so hard to create a perfect mirror of our essence and did everything by ourselves. From recording to mixing to mastering. and the result has exceeded even our own expectations. All the songs in this album are full of contrasts and a rockin' out exploration and critique of the different emotions that control our lives, emotions that might keep us in an unhealthy relationship even when we know it's not good for us, emotions that drive some to systematically cut into their own skin to get a sense of control over their pain, emotions that make us wonder about our place in this world. So if you feel ready to take a chance and go on a journey into the darkness of our souls, we promise you a light at the end of the tunnel, you might even see yourself in our eyes.
