DM12003: Poxxe - Iono EP OUT NOW! Darkmatter Soundsystem frequents their third visit to vinyl (DM12003) this time around with the Southern California native Poxxe. The 12" kicks off with a screaming dubstep floorkiller titled "The Malfunction" sure to incite soundsystems and crowds. Next up is the rattling tear out breakcore track titled "Funky Lizard" with Minion on the collab. On the flip side, the two tracks "Yellular" & "Plastic Hip" explore the more sparse rhythms and tones of Poxxe's sound. A strong follow up to the label's previous release (DM12001) "Minion - Bored In The U.S.A. EP." Darkmatter is exclusively distributed and sold by Praxis.
Amboss: Kompressorwahn/Avenida Paulista (Sub/Version 014) OUT NOW! The most relentless Sub/Version release so far! Two mighty tracks combining a wall of sound with rave hyper-energy. Side A "Kompressorwahn" kicks off with stepping tension-oriented rave-esque melodies quickly culminating in the most extreme pounding beats that throttle your nerves and whip the dancefloor into a frenzy with no end in sight. Amboss keeps up the pressure with the side B track titled "Avenida Paulista" in which hard industrial effects, intense frequencies and relentless beats are pushed to the limit. Deemed to be "too hard" for some, Sub/Version 014 by Amboss demolishes all other drum and bass tracks around thus demonstrating the possibilities for further explorations in hybrid extreme sounds. Front of hell by the talented producer David F, aka 8, is a combination of hard industrial sounds with a technoid base, pumping subbass and banging snare. Time curvature produced by Juanmanuel Medina and Ronald Davila aka S.T.H. is a more mental track with a solid beat and powerful neurofunk bass lines. Bringing together for the first time on vinyl the talent of this two Colombian producers who in a way influenced the whole new generation of electronic music producers in their homeland.
