About me:

I am a (almost) 42 year old mom of a (almost) 19 year old daughter whom I am very proud of. I am married to the greatest guy on the planet and we live in an old farm house that we've been renovating for over a year, and still not done. We both work in mental health and have stressful jobs and often complain that we hate it. But the truth is we both love it, or we wouldn't do it.

We have five feline children: Mombo the Savanna/African Servel, Sushi and Fang the Siamese, and siblings Turtle and Trouser. They all have very unique personalities that keep us busy and entertained. So I post a lot of photo's of our cats because they are so funny. I've yet to get all five in one photo but still trying.

Turtle, the only female, is my little baby girl who loves cookies and cakes. Sushi is my big baby Siamese who follows me everywhere I go and knows ahead of time when I have to go to the bathroom (he always beats me to the bathroom). Fang is the oldest (Siamese) so we refer to him as "grandpa," he mostly stays to himself but loves to cuddle with Trouser (we don't know why). Trouser is our little trouble maker. He will steal your straw right out of a cup if you leave it unattended and likes any kind of potato chips. He has a little white teddy bear with a pink t-shirt that he carries around the house but he will drop it and walk away if we catch him with it.

Mombo is in a catagory all his own (he has his own myspace), and is the funniest of them all because he's so big, but he's clumsy and uncoordinated. When he tries to jump onto something high, he usually misses and falls on his head. He likes paper or plastic bags and bubbles and the only one who likes to sleep under the covers. He eats raw chicken twice a day and he's a big love bug.

All of our cats have their own play room with a small fortune of toys, tunnels, cat tree and a hanging kitty condo. You can see them all in my photo's. They all are the joy of our household as evident by all the photo's.

We're thinking about getting a big dog :)

The true seeker feels no elation, even in that exalted state which I and all the gods unhappily long for. He understands the nature of things. His heart is not smudged by right or wrong, as the sky is not smudged by smoke.

I am not detachment nor salvation, Nor anything reached by the senses; I am behold all thought and form. I am everywhere, and nowhere at all- I am Consciousness and Bliss.

Before you speak, ask yourself, is it kind, is it necessary, is it true, does it improve on the silence?

And to sit and think of all the desires and hearbreaks I tend to believe it has been delussional. There are only desires. There are only dreams. There are only memories. There are only past and present. There are only time pieces and pieces of time. Locked. Saved. Not Permitted.

You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.

Find and follow the good path and be ruled by compassion. For if the various ways are examined, compassion will prove the means to liberation.- Tirukkural 25: 241-242

“Passion, it lies in all of us, sleeping... waiting... and though unwanted... unbidden... it will stir... open its jaws and howl. It speaks to us... guides us... passion rules us all, and we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love... the clarity of hatred... and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion maybe we'd know some kind of peace... but we would be hollow... Empty rooms shuttered and dank. Without passion we'd be truly dead."

All sorrow comes from fear. From nothing else. When you know this, You become free of it, And desire melts away. You become happy and still.- Ashtavakra Gita 11:5
