Life outside of Nova Scotia is difficult for Andrew to understand.
From the silly to the socially relevant, nothing escapes this
sarcastic Maritimers look at big city and pop culture absurdities.
Shortly after moving from Dartmouth in late 2001, Andrew made
an appearance on Open Mic with Mike Bullard where Mike
likened him to Don Harron. Ben Guyatt of Comedy at Club 54
fame says, Andrew has a fresh approach to comedy-combining
the absurd with the cerebral, always resulting in a great solid
setI truly believe he will become a major, comedic force in the
years ahead.
Andrew digs deep to make the mundane fascinating, and the
complicated, simple. It is a style making him accessible to both
the audiences at the Tim Sims Playhouse in Toronto, and a
neighborhood pub in Halifax.
After winning the Laugh Resorts funniest person with a day job
competition in Toronto, Andrew was invited to perform for the first
time at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.
He has been recorded for XM Radio's Laugh Attack, been seen as a judge on Much Music's Video on Trial and performed at the Halifax Comedy Festival in April 2006
Andrew will leave you laughing at him, yourself and the world
around you. simply, Andrew is funny and a crowd favorite. -

I'm a stand up comedian based in Toronto Ontario. If you want to find out why stand up comedy won't ever pay my bills, check out my website at www.angryandrew.com!
I don't like lying to build self esteem. People who have a false sense of self end up ridiculed on my TV set in a bad reality show. American Idol sound familiar? I prefer people with a soul, than a goal. I like character flaws. I look like a businessman, but have the soul of a cynical artist. I love tattoos, but would never get one, I'm fascinated with the drug culture, but have never even smoked a cigarette. I like vices. When I compliment somebody, I mean it. I'm not using it to get laid or so you put a word in for me with your agent. If you ask me my opinion, that is what you will get. Don't cry if I don't think you are funny, or can't sing, my opinion is worthless anyway. If you spend more money on lipstick than books and newspapers, I will develop on unhealthy contempt for you. I love beautiful women, but don't talk to me about your hair, blush, hip-huggers or shoes, because I don't care!
I don't like it when I will say "This guy can't sing" and then somebody will turn to me and say, "How can you say that? He is such a nice guy" I didn't say he is an asshole, I didn't say he can't come to my house for turkey dinner, I said, he is out of tune. I'm not out to hurt people's feelings, in fact I love people. I'm just seeking truth!
Next gig. I'll be on on East Coast tour performing alongside some of the best comics in the Country The tour kicks off in Ottawa on June 16th before hitting Fredricton, Moncton, Halifax and Charlottetown. Click the image to find out more.

Who I'd like to meet: Christopher Hitchens, Jim Goad, Jim Norton, aside from those guys, anybody who is in to good music and good comedy. Those in to Enlightened self interest. Those who like Dave Attell, Richard Pryor, Jim Norton, Bill Hicks, Mitch Hedberg, George Carlin, Doug Stanhope, Joe Rogan, Bobby Slayton. Open minded questioners. Not affraid of ideas. Politically incorrect, people with an edge, a chip on their shoulder. People who don't say shit like "I'm a positive thinker" I like skeptics and pissy people. They have more to offer. The more problems you have, the more I will probably like you. But when it comes down to it, I'm lonely and pathetic so I will approve anyone who sends me a request.
Hell yeah, let me know when you are going to be in the midwest. Appleton is quite a drive, but if I have enough notice, I can bring some friends. There are a lot of comedy venues in the Quad Cities and Chicago. Do you have a mailing list? I see you have different Andrew Evans' on your website. I didn't see the figure skater. WTF? And what about the priest? I'm sure he is the least likely to have sex of all of us. What do you think? Let me know if you want some help finding some friendly comedy venues in the states. Peace- Andrew Evans
Yeah, so how did you get hate mail? You stole my name. BTW, go Leafs go! You are funnier than most people here in the states. Come to Chicago and I'll get lots of people to come see you. Peace
good show the other night...do me a favour can you invite me to that show in the ottawa area another 5 times in the next month? or has that show already come and gone?
Hey Andrew! You rocked the Longhorn last night...just wanted to say you did an awesome job and so did Dave and Brian. Everyone in Delta will be talking about the night for a while to come, I'm sure. Thanks for coming!
Hey Andrew... Thanks for hosting at McVeigh's on Thursday night! You did a great job of handling the woman heckler. That was really funny! Gotta love the Irish. But she did love you after that hey? Maybe she likes bad boys. (?)
Hey Andrew,
It was really great to see you in Burlington. I thought you had the best set of the night and you proved that the audience really was ready to laugh! Well done!
