Acoustic driven music with strong influences drawn from all of the above plus more......
Based in Cambridgeshire, England, angryman are an enthusiastic group of musicians writing and performing original songs in their own raw and gutsy style. angryman's acoustic based Roots/Rock has been influenced by such acts as, Paul Weller, The Who and Ben Harper.
The music is soulful, expressive and dynamic with a pallet that ranges from delicately picked acoustic melodies to hard drum driven guitar licks, from gentle and intimate to soaring and intense.
Singer Songwriter, and guitarist Scott Bingham has a vibrant, charismatic voice that grabs your attention from the off. Honest and uncompromising his lyrics reflect on the highs and lows of love, adventure and modern day life.
Armed with an FX box and an acoustic Guitar, lead Guitarist Steve Bean Swaps flawlessly between different styles and rhythms creating infectious melodies that stay in your head.
Chris 'The Bass' Allen's solid, driving and sometimes almost hypnotic styled bass lines along with the powerful, yet sensitive and expressive, drumming style of Julian Stone form a rhythm section so tight and strong and together that can transform the mood from so slight and subtle into a balmy and explosive intensity.
Angry Man released their debut album in September 2004. Long Way contains eight original songs including the anthemic 'Cold England' and 'Flesh & Blood' with musical contributions from Paul Blant (drums), Andy Hawkins (guitar/bass) and Chris Watson (double bass).
The long awaited album 'Better Life' has finaly been released now at 'The Randal Rootz Festival' to commemorate and celebrate the life of former angryman percussionist Mark Randall and his huge contribution to the Peterborough music scene. The album is the last work and recordings of Mark's creative percussive skills and is in itself a proud testimonial to the man whom we all miss greatly.
